Cait came to work with us part time while she was doing her Honours Degree at Vega from February 2023 to February 2024. Her first body of work, a literal batism of fire, was to create a TVC/digital campaign for Totalsports on the Supersport channels. She absolutely nailed it with flying colours. I was blown away by the high level of professionalism given by her (a student) and that she achieved such a great creative result. She followed that up with creating bespoke digital content for some of our other blue chip clients. This included social media/digital campaigns - on a month to month basis, illustrating unique supporting campaign elements, brand stories and other TVC/digital campaigns. The fact that she did all of this while completing her studies and delivering on work deadlines - is amazing. Always keeping a cool head. She also showed her ability to shoot her own content and edit it to further bolster a campaign, when client had very little colateral to supply. Cait can follow a brief, problem solve and further explode ideas within the brief. Sometimes creating a solution from almost nothing, showing her drive for excellence. Cait’s ability and willingness to ‘say yes more than no’, even though in the moment she did not have a solution, but soon figured it out through research, is a testament to her creativity, passion and work ethic. She is an incredible team player, but can also manage herself and her own work flow.
Over the last couple years, I have been fortunate enough to teach Caitlyn Grunewald in various modules during her four years of study at the IIE-Vega School of Design, Brand and Business, where she completed both her undergraduate degree in Digital Design and her Honours in Design Leadership. Throughout her time at Vega, Caitlyn has demonstrated tremendous effort and growth in my class, always striving to be better, to gain a deeper understanding, and to learn and explore. She is an incredibly hard-working individual who I believe will continue to display commitment and diligence in everything she does. Caitlyn believes in her work but is willing to make changes and adapt based on feedback and never shies away from hard work. Her dedication and commitment to every project she tackles is remarkable. Caitlyn is a trustworthy, reliable, good-humoured student who is always confident to express her opinion. She was always a pleasure to have in class, had great relationships with her peers, and was always eager to engage in in-depth conversation on any topic.
